Biomedical Telemetry:
نویسنده
چکیده
There have been many important technological achievements in microtechnologies and microsystems in the past fifteen years. These have lead to the design of small, reliable and lowpower-consuming biomedical devices that can be implanted inside a patient‟s body by means of a surgical operation. Contrary to traditional, external medical devices, these implanted devices can sense data from inside the human body in real-time, offering a unique opportunity for early diagnosis and treatment of diseases.

BER Performance of a BPSK Biomedical Telemetry System under Varying Coupling and Loading Conditions
Binary Phase Shift Keying (BPSK) is a promising modulation format for downlink data transmission in inductive biomedical telemetry systems, because it achieves high data rates and power efficiencies and requires simple electronics. In this paper, the Bit Error Rate (BER) performance of a BPSK biomedical telemetry system is investigated under Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) and is found to ...

Microscale optical devices enabled by wireless power harvesting and telemetry facilitate manipulation and testing of localized biological environments (e.g., neural recording and stimulation, targeted delivery to cancer cells). Design of integrated microsystems utilizing optical power harvesting and telemetry will enable complex in vivo applications like actuating a single nerve, without the di...
متن کاملA Power and Data Telemetry System for Biomedical Implants
This paper describes the design of a power and data telemetry system intended for biomedical implants. The power generation unit utilizes a voltage quadruple, a novel voltage limiter, a new low-power supply-independent voltage reference and a linear voltage regulator. The ASK demodulator uses a high performance comparator based scheme which can recover modulation indices range from 5% up to 90%...
